The installation of the platform, which had been transferred to the location by the Oceanic vessel, was carried out with the nonstop efforts of Iranian experts in the NIOC on Tuesday evening and was completed successfully early on Wednesday morning.
The 3,200-ton platform, the heaviest in the entire gas field, will start gas production at the strategic Phase 11 after two decades.
Phase 11 has set remarkable records in various operational areas including removal, transfer and installation of platforms, as well as drilling and pipelines.
The ultimate goal of developing the phase is to produce 56 million cubic meters of gas per day.
